The Wind That Blows Through Me

Over the course of the past two years, I have focused on small graphite drawings. My process is entirely intuitive, with the images emerging through rather than from me. A shape or gesture leads to the next, and the work develops incrementally until it reaches a state of equilibrium.

Built from nature-symbols, lyrical shading, and interactions of form, the drawings occupy a space between the organic and the otherworldly. Forms appear to germinate, divide, open, and transform, suggesting inner landscapes as much as natural phenomena, each drawing becomes a kind of visual field in which physical and unseen forces converge.

Rather than representing specific objects or narratives, the works give form to states of becoming. They explore emergence as both a natural and transcendental process: an unfolding through which matter, consciousness, and image seem briefly to take shape.
